Berry AKA Dominic Sas

WHO IS BERRY?

Dominic Sas, aka Berry in the Box, is a musician, producer, songwriter and sonic architect with roots in the Belgian electronic underground. Raised in the 80’s and 90’s (yes!) when today’s vintage machines were still brand new. Blends of house, funk, liquid DnB, ambient textures, left-field pop or a cheeky nod to retro gaming nostalgia are Berry’s specialty.

“I grew up fascinated by sound — not just songs, but how they feel in a room. From early synth experiments to diving deep into studio engineering, I became obsessed with the intersection of creativity and technology. Over the years I evolved into a hybrid: part producer, part mix engineer, part sonic explorer.

Having spent years refining my craft in high-end studio environments, I understand acoustics, monitoring, dynamics and detail to an almost surgical level — but music isn’t a lab experiment. It’s human. My goal is always to balance precision with soul. Clean low-end, intentional transients, space that breathes… and above all, a vibe that connects. The technical side serves the emotion. Not the other way around.

And yes, I’m a gear nerd! I love great converters, monitors and plugins. But the best tool is the one that sparks inspiration. Technology should amplify creativity — never replace it. At the end of the day, it’s simple: If it grooves, if it moves you, if it lingers after the last note… then my job is done.”
